Exposes the truth

Britton clearly documents and demonstrates that public (government) schools do NOT have the children's best interests in mind. Education of children is something that government schools are not set up to do. Conditioning, indoctrination, etc., but education isn't meant to take place.
You may not agree with everything, but Revealing School is very enlightening and thought provoking for those who can handle the truth.
As someone who survived the system back in the 1960s, I have learned more as a homeschool parent than I ever learned growing up in school . As a homeschool parent, one not only learns how much garbage was taught, but also how much wasn't taught.
I'm thankful I stumbled across Britton's book. It's a keeper!

Must-Read for any Parent

I think this is the second review I've done for Amazon. Needless to say, it takes something special for me to take the time to share my thoughts. I'm half way through this book. I bought the Kindle version to save a few dollars - and boy do I regret that. I really want a hardcopy so I can underline and search back. I've talked to so many people about various points made in this book. This is a must-read for anyone with kids in public school. It's also an excellent read for homeschoolers - a what-not-to-do and good reminder of why you do what you do. The Dept. of Education is clearly more focused on forcing their political agenda on our kids then they are worried about educating them. It's so hard to believe the lengths they go to... and the power they have. My heart aches for American children. Parents need to know, so at the very least they can be having good conversations.

Worth the read

This definitely was an eye opening book. I was a product of the public school system and as a child I assumed that what I was being taught was accurate. Children do not have reasoning skills fully developed until their early twenties. This books shows the reader, with documentation, that the school system does not have the children's best interest in mind. I truly believe that there are amazing public and private school teachers out there that love their students, but they are having to teach within the system. They are becoming more and more limited. Reading the book made me all the more thankful for homeschooling!
